Redbox Launches Referral Program

I received an email this morning from Redbox notifying me of this Refer-A-Friend Program/Referral Awards.

You basically sign up through the program using your First & Last name and of course your email address (if you’re logged in to your existing account with Redbox, the form fields will be automatically filled).

You’ll have several options of how to share your unique referral link provided by the program.  Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Embed code, and Email to your address book (option to import using Plaxo).

The program works like this:

  1. You refer your friends
  2. They rent through your link
  3. You get a FREE One-Night rental credit good for 10 days

If anyone rents through your link you’ll receive an email through Redbox with your credit.

There’s also a nice little Dashboard powered by Extole (formerly TellAPal) they have in place to provide you stats on the process of your program.  See image below.

Please click this link and it’s your first time renting online, they’ll give you a free one-night online rental credit. And I’ll get a free rental each time you rent via my link through 3/17/11.

My First Official Auto-Tune Project

Today I present to you My First Official Auto-Tune Project.

I was doing my usual this morning, visiting Facebook & reading tweets (via Tweetie), when I noticed @phillipmaddox sent a link to an article on “How to Auto-tune and Influence People” by James Mathias.

This inspired me to do a little auto-tuning for myself along with a track I produced about 3 months ago.

Check out the track and let me know what you think.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Nyle “Let The Beat Build” on Vimeo

This was referred to me by a friend @jpinnix pretty incredible video, especially since they recorded the audio and video in one single take.

8ball on Twitter

I’m a professional web guru of most sorts, from design to development and marketing.

Today I tweeted a question “am I really going to ‘rip’ one of my own sites?”

If you’re not familiar with the term ‘rip’ it basically means to create a copy.  Depending on your opinion, a true ‘rip’ would be to create a site 65% or more like another, whether or not you honestly intended to copy or not.

Anyways, we all know the concept of Magic 8ball.  Technological ideology from time to time takes me by surprise.  Today it did.
After posting my question, I was notified via Tweetie that someone had responded.

The answer was… @arudd Its looking more and more like a “No”"
I’m not one for Crystal Balls, Horoscopes, or the likes of those mystical things but this was cool purely from the idea.
